Welcome to 2QAQ

“from little things big things grow” sings Paul Kelly

What is 2QAQ? It stands for Queensland Quilters Art Quilts. QQ has long supported traditional quilting; with the impact art quilting is having within the quilt world, it is time that QQ members have the opportunity to explore contemporary work. Sue Dennis chairs the 2QAQ committee, supported by Jane Rundle, Kathryn Iliff, Lexie Peters, Melanie Forrest, Suzanne Marshall and Ros Ward.

2008 was a busy year. QQ's first dedicated art quilt exhibition - State of the Art quilt 09 - was organised. As well, members met monthly to share our quilts and techniques, learn, be enthused by guest speakers at ARTiculation Afternoons & make new friends.

If you love art quilts, if you make art quilts or are thinking of starting, or are just curious, come join in. Meetings will be the last Saturday of each month from February to November, with the exception of March (the launch of State of the Art quilt 09 on the Gold Coast) and October (the Queensland Quilt Show in Brisbane).
