Basic Sampler Quilt for Beginners
This 8 week course of 2 hour lessons gives the novice quilter an understanding of basic patchwork and quilting techniques, enabling them to complete a small lap quilt or wall hanging.
Floral Convergence
A 1 day workshop featuring a background design of strips cut, rearranged and reinserted. Free standing leaves, machine embroidered branches and 3D flowers complete this wall hanging with mitered corners.
Bias Roses
A 2 day hand and machine workshop where we work with bias appliqué (using 3 widths of hand sewn bias strips) and long stemmed roses. The centre curved panel is set into a curved border with a corded insert. The completed wall hanging or table runner measures approx. 130x45cms. Pattern supplied by tutor.
Fibonacci meets Sudoku
A 1 day machine workshop using 10 fabrics to make a single bed quilt. A simple effective design exploring the use of the Fibonacci number series with its benefit for quilt design.
Machine Quilting
A 1 day technique workshop. Samples only will be completed in this class. The student will learn “presser foot” and “free machine quilting”. Many different quilting designs will be shown with information on needle and thread choices included in the class.
Fabric Colouring
A 1 day fun workshop with the student using fibre reactive dyes to colour their own cotton or silk fabric. Colour choices include one colour, multi colour and rainbow painted fabric. Instructions are also given on value, hue graduations and basic colour theory. Fabric dyes supplied by tutor.
Butterfly Bright
A one day workshop making a wall hanging with a raised (trapunto style) machine appliqué. Pattern supplied by tutor.
Cathedral Windows
A one day workshop featuring cathedral windows by machine (includes instruction in the Fibonacci number series).
Crazy Squares
A one day workshop using 12 fat quarters, a high light shade and matching fabric for the border to make a quick queen sized quilt highlighting the quilt as you go technique.

In this workshop you will learn how to create beautiful raised quilted designs without making holes in the quilt. All the skills of machine quilting including stippling and other background effects will be covered in this class. - Fine Hand Quilting & Trapunto - 1 day
Master the mechanics of the quilting stitch and create the third dimension using stippling and trapunto. - Sewing in Circles - 1 day
In this workshop you will learn the simple way to make a Winding Ways or Orange Peel quilt without curved piecing. - Broomstick Skirt - 1 day
Make a fashionable tiered skirt using simple overlocking techniques. You will learn how to give it the broomstick texture. - Applique Double Wedding Ring - 1 or 2 days
No more curved piecing. Learn this appliqué approach and have your double wedding ring quilt on the bed in next to no time. - Traditional Double Wedding Ring - 2 days
Use Pam's laser cut templates and the paper foundation method and discover the construction secrets of this design.
