Workshops

Queensland Quilters Inc. organises a number of workshops each year featuring local, national and international tutors.

We offer different workshops teaching everything from traditional quilting, modern techniques, art quilting, fabric dying, fabric printing and surface design just to name a few.

Workshops could be lectures, half day, full day, weekend and even once a month over a number of months.

Workshop Policy

General

Workshops are held by Queensland Quilters Inc. to advance members’ skills.
The maximum number of participants is determined by the tutor and the space available to ensure that people can work in comfort and safety.
Places are allocated on a first in basis. A waiting list is kept.
Workshops will commence and conclude at the planned times. Workshops will not be delayed for participants who are late.
Please remember to get your class requirements. You should received this 4 weeks prior to the workshop date.
Please ensure that you arrive to your class 15-30 minutes prior to the starting time so you can be set up and that the class can start
BYO cup and lunch. Morning and afternoon tea is supplied.
If you are unable to attend a workshop, please contact the workshop convenor as soon as possible.

Booking a Workshop

All workshops are available to view at the website qldquilters.com located under the heading Events & Activities. All classes have a minimum and maximum number. Please note, if the workshop is full, you will be placed on a waiting list.
Complete the workshop registration form online. Once complete and submitted, you will receive an email – this is your confirmation that the registration has been received.
Payment (either deposit or full) must be made either by Direct Deposit or Credit/Debit card and once received, your registration is complete.
Details regarding payments are at the bottom of the online registration form.

Final Payment

A workshop must be fully paid 4 weeks prior to the start date.
PLEASE NOTE: If full payment is not received by the due date, you will lose your place and your deposit. Your place will be given to someone on the waiting list.

Refunds

If you are unable to attend a workshop, please contact the Workshop Convenor as soon as possible.
Refunds will ONLY be given if 4 weeks notice is received, with the exception of Janine Judge’s workshops, which will only be refunded if there is someone on the waiting list to take your place, less the $50 non-refundable deposit.
If the workshop is cancelled by Queensland Quilters Inc., a refund will be issued.

Notes
There is a $50 proportion of Janine Judge’s Workshop fee that is Non-refundable! Workshops may be cancelled if there are insufficient numbers to fill a class, or due to illness or incapacity of the tutor. Full refunds will be given if any workshops need to be cancelled. If you are unable to attend a workshop, please let the Workshop Convenors know as soon as possible. Workshop Policy *
I acknowledge that I have read, understand and agree to abide by the policies and procedures of Queensland Quilters Workshops. I understand my registration is not complete until my Registration Fee has been paid. If I select a Janine Judges workshop, I understand there is a non-refundable fee of $50. I understand that the balance of a Janine Judge workshop fee will be refunded if my place can be filled.
