Nature in Chaos - Colleen Fitzgerald

We live in a world of constant change and chaos. Our environment, plant and
animal species are threaten and some disappearing. They are fading -silver- and
going – green. As humans we are failing to understand our need for connection with
our environment and how this change will affect us mentally, physically and
emotionally.

• Background printed with fabric paints using homemade jelly plate .

• My stencils using freezer paper and applied with Shiva sticks. Positive images cut
out of satin and appliqued with machine. Handquilted with Valdini 8 thread.
• Monoprinting- printing with stencils- Hand quilting – machine quilting- back-
ground hand dyed and printed with leaves and grasses using decolorant
