Nothing gives us a feeling of
warmth and comfort more
than seeing a mother and
child. When we think of the
Serengeti, we imagine lions
lounging in the shade,
elephants plodding across
open grassland and giraffes
plucking leaves from the
branches of trees. The
combination of these images
gave rise to Mother and Child
#1.
The heavily quilted feathers
and pebbles reflect the
patterns of the giraffe’s
natural markings.
Cotton solids front and back.
60% wool/ 40%polyester
batting
Outline and feathers quilted
with 12wt cotton. Pebbles
quilted with 40wt poly. Sun
quilted with monopoly. Outer
sun and landscape quilted
with 50wt cotton.
Free motion quilting
throughout.
