Neighbourhood - Lajla Nystad
2020 profoundly changed out daily lives due to COVID. We had to stay close to
home and reconnect with our neighbourhoods. Living in an area surrounded by na-
ture meant I was able to wander into the forest, collecting leaves and foliage to use
for printing on fabrics. Some leaves are from my garden, so this quilt represents
my neighbourhood.
• Cotton fabrics. Textile paint. Acrylic paint.
• Monoprinting.
