Hot Sand - Jane Rundle
The colours of Queensland are
varied, the water in the river may
be brown, the trees growing tall,
green and proud, the ocean blue,
but the sand is HOT on the beach!
I’ve never known sand so hot.
It comes as a shock to the sys-
tem. This is my view of how I see
Queensland.
• Cotton fabrics, poly cotton wad-
ding, cotton backing.
• Improvisational piecing, Painted
fusible web applique, Turned
edge applique, Free machine
quilting, Hand embroidery
