Banyan Survival - Doreen Dyer

I have always been mesmerized by this Banyan tree that has grown into the block
wall of public housing units. When this property was bull-dozed for re-development,
the fear was that this grand tree would go, but so far it has been respected and
saved. This tree cannot be placed on the Significant Trees Register, so I wanted to
create a piece to honour it, just in case.

• Eco and rust dyed cottons and gauze. Parlan wadding.

• Woven cotton and gauze, machine pieced and machine embroidery and quilting.
All fabric on front eco dyed by me.
